Every worn pair of shoes has a story to tell and every new pair has a history worth writing.
What began as a simple logo project for a traveling footwear retailer based in Austin, Texas, Bootleg was born in an Airstream trailer, sold vintage and new footwear for men and women and grew into a footwear high fashion newspaper and a new peer-to-peer sales platform.
Inspired by the intersection of central Texas simplicity with the decadence of a Parisian runway; Bootleg found roots in editorial forms, the dewey decimal system, and histories that boots and shoes help to construct. Bootleg now a traveling airstream trailer, a photography based newspaper and a peer-to-peer online social sales platform.

If tattoos are about standing out, Starlight Tattoo is about fitting in.
Our task: create a secret society for those with Starlight Tattoos. From strategic positioning, through identity, with print, web, interior, and merchandising activations we created an entire experience—even Gant Rugger apprones for artists to wear. Located in premiere locations around the country and catering to a new class of those who stand out, Starlight is about an experience, connecting directly with artists and transporting the basic tattoo experience into one that is transcendent.
Come join the secret society. For life, liberty, and pain.

Urbanspace Realtors, a multi-million dollar, boutique residential and commercial brokerage required a brand overhaul for reaching their next set of business goals. As Austin, Texas becomes a leader in metropolitan downtown living and becomes the nation's second fastest growing market, our brand must move forward. Through refreshed, lifestyle oriented imagery, fun playful graphics, and a new urban aesthetic we brought life to a new strategic position. We chose to focus not on square footage or room ratios, but on quality of life, accessibility and a sustainable city standard of living.
As the leader of an in-house team, we created new print programs, lifestyle guides, signage and advertising platforms to communicate this new way of thinking about property. Ultimately growing the Urbanspace Brand into the new standard for downtown living in Austin, Texas.Branding, Graphic Design, Print Design2013

This campaign uses 4 direct mail pieces that alter how construction is typically marketed, paired with 3 specific target area pieces based on construction status. Clever haiku, tongue-in-cheek phrases adorn each card alongside delicate art deco influenced silver filigree.
The essential argument is this: homeowners don’t care about the tools, they care about what beautiful things are made with them. As all contractors show finished product, shiny images of new or remodeled homes is no longer effective.
This little project took one of the three ‘Best In Show’ awards alongside campaigns for BMW and Shiner Beer.
